The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is governed by its 203 National Federation members, who meet every two years at the AIBA Congress, the supreme legistlative body of AIBA with power to adopt and amend the AIBA Statutes via vote.
To manage the association’s activities in between each Congress, the National Federations elect a President, each Vice President and Executive Committee members every fours years.
The AIBA Congress is an assembly to which all National Federations are convened every two years. The Ordinary Congress with elections shall be held every four years.

The Executive Committee is composed by 28 members (24 directly elected by the AIBA Congress and 4 appointed by the elected members of the EC) and has the power and duty to govern AIBA in accordance with the AIBA Statutes as well as implement decisions passed by the AIBA Congress.

The AIBA Headquarters is comprised of the administrative staff and shall carry out all the administrative work of AIBA under the direction of the Executive Director. The Headquarters is responsible for the day to day management of AIBA and for the coordination of it’s different bodies and Commissions.

CONFEDERATIONS & NATIONAL FEDERATIONS
AIBA is the sole worldwide governing body for the sport of boxing in all its forms, with 203 Member Federations and 5 Confederations. The International Boxing Association, its National Federations and Confederations work on behalf of all levels of boxing, men and women, to reinvigorate the sport’s grass roots, develop youth and elite boxing and create new opportunities for our athletes. Over 9,000 boxers and 5,000 officials are members of the AIBA family.
