Bhutan’s two-time national champion Tashi Norbu only took up boxing at the age of 20, but claimed his country’s first international victory in five years with victory over Vietnam’s Vo Van Que at the Asian Confederation Championships in August this year. The orthodox fighter’s progress in that competition may have been halted by a shoulder injury, but he will arrive in Doha high on confidence.
