Despite having only competed in 28 elite bouts, Nyika has established himself as New Zealand’s number one Welterweight. The fast fighter benefits from excellent footwork, and likes to move around the ring to frustrate his opponents. Educated in Law, both Joshua and his brother David won gold at the OCBC Oceania Confederation Boxing Championships, and the intelligent Rick Ellis trained fighter has prepared intensely for Doha.
