JOSELITO VELAQUEZ – 49 KG

After emerging as a promising young footballer in Mexico, Altamirano became inspired by the success of his brother and began to box in 2004. His first foray into the elite level of boxing occurred in 2011 when he won the Pan American Games in spectacular fashion. The 22-year-old has excelled in the World Series of Boxing, and competed at two AIBA World Championships. He won his second successive Pan American Games earlier this year in Toronto.
