Another 24 boxers will face off on Monday for the chance to guarantee themselves a medal at the 2008 Olympic Games as a second day of boxing quarterfinals takes place in the Workers' Gymnasium.
Athens 54kg silver medallist Worapoj Petchkoom of Thailand will kick things off at 19:00 as he comes up against Cuba's Yankiel Leon Alarcon, the 2008 Pan American bronze medallist, in a session which contains quarterfinals for the 54kg, 57kg and +91kg divisions.

Another key 54kg clash sees the AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 silver medallist Badar-Uugan Enkhbat (MGL) take on the 2008 President's Cup bronze medallist Ikgopoleng Khumiso (BOT).
In the 57kg quarters, AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 bronze medallist Yakup Kilic (TUR) will face a tricky assignment in the 2007 All Africa Games champion Abdelkader Chadi (ALG) before the AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 silver medallist Vasyl Lomachenko (UKR) takes on the other bronze medallist at the AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 in Yang Li (CHN) which promises to be a fantastic exhibition of speed and stamina.
Meanwhile, the +91kg division will see the world champion Roberto Cammarelle (ITA) take on Pan American champion Oscar Rivas (COL) while the AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 silver medallist Vyacheslav Glazkov (UKR) faces All Africa Games runner-up Newfel Ouatah (ALG).
