The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is pleased to announce the opening of the bidding process to apply to host the 1st AIBA Junior World Championships 2009.
All AIBA affiliated National Federations interested to stage this important event for AIBA's youngest age category (15-16 years) are invited to apply. We kindly ask bidders to carefully study the bidding guidelines and return the completed bid file to arrive at the AIBA Headquarters by 31 July 2008 at the latest.
Bidding Schedule
• June 27: AIBA sends the bidding guidelines to all federations
• July 31: Deadline for Bid File Submission to AIBA
• August 18: Presentations of bidding cities at the AIBA Extraordinary EC Meeting in Beijing

AIBA Association Internationale de Boxe a le plaisir d'annoncer l'ouverture de la procédure de candidature à l'accueil du premier Championnat du Monde Junior 2009 AIBA
Toutes les fédérations nationales affiliées à l'AIBA qui souhaiteraient organiser cet évènement important pour la plus jeune catégorie d'âge d'AIBA (15 - 16 ans) sont invitées à poser leur candidature. Nous demandons aux candidats de bien vouloir scrupuleusement se référer aux directives de candidature et de nous renvoyer le dossier complet au siège de l'AIBA avant le 31 juillet au plus tard.
Calendrier de candidature
27 Juin: AIBA envoie les instructions de candidatures à toutes les fédérations
31 Juillet: Date limite d'envoi des dossiers de candidatures à l'AIBA
18 août : Soumission de la liste des villes candidates au Comité Exécutif Extraordinaire de l'AIBA à Pékin.
Apertura del procedimiento de candidatura al primer campeonato de mundo júnior de la AIBA
AIBA, Asociación International de Boxeo, se complace en anunciarle el inicio del procedimiento de candidatura a la organización del primer campeonato del mundo júnior 2009.
Todas la Asociaciones Internacionales de Boxeo afiliadas a la AIBA que quisieran organizar este acontecimiento de mayor importancia para la más joven categoría de deportivos de la AIBA (15 - 16 años) deben postular para participar a la selección.
Por favor referirse cuidosamente a las indicaciones contenidas en el link : bidding guidelines.
Una vez cubiertos todos estos requisitos, el dossier de solicitud completo será enviado a la sede de la AIBA antes del 31 de julio, fecha limite.
Calendario de solicitud
27 de Junio: AIBA manda las indicaciones de solicitud a todas las federaciones.
31 de julio: Fecha limite para mandarnos los dossiers de solicitud
18 de agosto: presentación de la lista de candidatos al Comité Ejecutivo Extraordinario de la AIBA en Beijing.

• The AIBA Junior World Championships is the event previously known as Cadet World Championships
• AIBA changed the name from Cadet to Junior and 2009 will be the first year of this event
• AIBA will have to make the final decision on host city of the "1st AIBA Junior World Championships, 2009, at the Extraordinary Executive Committee Meeting to be held on August 18, 2008, in Beijing.
• Dates of Competition: May 23 - 30, 2009
• Weight Categories: Boxers of the following 13 Weight categories will be allowed to take part:
46 kg, 48 kg, 50 kg, 52 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 66 kg,70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg and 80+ kg
• Age Classification: All boxers 15 - 16 years old are allowed to compete based on the "Year of Birth". Thus, the boxers who are born the years of 1993 and 1994 will be allowed to compete in 2009.
• Competition Format: The competition consists of three (3) rounds of two (2) minutes each.
