  The 2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships host city agreement was signed on Wednesday by AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, Chinese Boxing Association and Asia Confederation President Mr. Jianping Chang and Ningbo Municipal People's Government Vice-Mayor Mr. Yuechong Cheng.
Mayor Cheng signed on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee for the event, the fifth edition of the AIBA Women's World Championships, which will take place from November 22-30.

2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships Fast Facts
• Age of competitors 19-34
• 13 weight categories as follows: 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and 86kg
• Bouts shall consist of three (3) rounds of two (2) minutes each
• Venue: Ningbo Youngor Gymnasium
