Olympic R&J Workshop begins in Beijing | 22.05.2008 | The 10-day AIBA Olympic Referees & Judges Workshop completed its first phase after two very intense days of presentation and participation at the Shi Sha Hai High School Sports Academy in Beijing on Thursday.
Thirty-three of the 34 referee and judges selected to participate at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games participated in a theory workshop, where examples of real-competition situations were discussed. The goal of the workshop is to have all officials the best prepared come August 9, the opening day of the Olympic boxing competition.

All those attending - candidates and lecturers - were extremely positive regarding the contribution that the sessions will make to the forthcoming Olympic Games. AIBA thanks the Chinese Boxing Federation and their President Mr. Jingping Chang for the wonderful facilities placed at the disposal of the workshop.
The workshop will now move to it's practical phase at the 1st AIBA President Cup Boxing Tournament in Taipei.
