The AIBA Women's Commission completed a successful two-day meeting under the leadership of Mrs. Joyce Bowen of Barbados in Lausanne on Monday.
The Commission is one of 12 AIBA Commissions and one of four which are sitting this week.
Twelve out of the 13 Women's Commission members attended the meeting, which confirmed that more than 100 countries currently feature women's boxing and it is a number the Commission will look to increase.
The next big event on the women's boxing calendar is the 2008 World Championships in a city still to be determined. |
