The European list of boxers participating to the XXIX Olympic Games is now complete.

The 2nd AIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament qualified 25 athletes, who will live the Olympic dream along with other 66 European boxers, already qualified through the AIBA World Boxing Championships Chicago 2007, and the 1st Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The European boxers list will be lead by Russians, who qualified a boxer in each one of the 11 weight categories. They are followed by France with 9 boxers.
French boxers were the protagonists at the Greek tournament, thanks to the five boxers who booked the Olympic ticket at the Olympic weight-Lifting Venue, in Athens.
England and Ukraine will now take 8 boxers each to  the Beijing Games next summer.

There are only two more OQT's to be held in order to have the total line-up for the Olympics: Oceania Olympic Qualification tournament in Apia, Samoa next April 21-25 (also valid as Oceania Continental Championships), and the 2nd AIBA Americas Olympic Qualification Tournament between April 23th and 30th.
