An incredible seventeen countries will be represented in the semifinals of the 2nd AIBA Africa Olympic Qualification Tournament in Windhoek, Namibia on Friday when 44 boxers will vie for Olympic qualification spots.

Following Thursday's quarterfinals, which proved to be a great day for Nigeria progressing three out of four boxers into the semfinals, the 2nd AIBA Africa Olympic Qualification Tournament now puts 20 Olympic vacancies on the line.

The winner's of Friday's semifinals (apart from the 91kg division) will qualify for the Beijing Olympic Games while the losers in the 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg and 81kg divisions will have a second chance to qualify with a box-off for a third Olympic ticket on Saturday.

Only the winner in the 91kg will qualify for Beijing. Friday's action starts at 14:00 (local time)
