Busan welcomes AIBA Executive Committee in style

AIBA Executive Committee members have arrived in the beautiful Korean port city of Busan for its first meeting of 2008 which will take place from February 17-18 in the scenic Nurimaru APEC House.

The AIBA Executive Committee meeting is expected to confirm the implementation of a number of reform initiatives including the presentation of new AIBA bylaws, the confirmation of new AIBA competition rules and regulations and the amalgamation of the AIBA Continental Bureau and continental associations on each continent.

There will also be progress reports on the AIBA Boxing Academy, AIBA League and the 2009 World Championships, which will be held in Milan, Italy.

The hosts of the 2008 Youth World Boxing Championships, the 2008 Women's World Boxing Championships and the 2008 1st AIBA World Cup will also be decided following presentations from the bidding countries.
