The total of boxers who have booked their tickets to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China has now reached 128 following the completion of two AIBA Olympic qualifying tournaments last weekend.
Bangkok in Thailand was the host of the 1st AIBA Asian Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which finished on Saturday with 19 boxers from nine different countries qualifying while 29 boxers from 11 different countries booked their Olympic tickets at the 1st AIBA African Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Algiers, Algeria.
Eighty boxers from 36 countries had previously qualified at the first qualification tournament - the AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007. Following the completion of the final Olympic qualification tournament in April, a total of 284 boxers will have booked a spot for Beijing.

Nineteen and 29 vacancies will be on offer again at the second AIBA Asian (Astana, Kazakhstan from March 15-25) and AIBA African Olympic Qualification Tournaments (Windhoek, Namibia from March 22-31) respectively.
