The 2012 AIBA Commission Meetings were held from January 19 to 21 in Bangkok, Thailand, in the presence of Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, AIBA President.
Seven Commissions met for two consecutive days before gathering all together for a Joint Meeting on January 21.
During this Joint Meeting, each Chairperson presented the conclusions and recommendations of their respective Commission.
The AIBA Technical & Rules Commission met again on January 22 in order to further discuss above recommendations.
Some key decisions need to be further developed and studied before final recommendations are submitted to the approval of the AIBA Executive Committee Bureau (by means of a mail vote).
Once the AIBA Executive Committee Bureau approves these final recommendations, some of them will be included in the AIBA Technical & Competition Rules and others will be implemented by the AIBA HQs Office.

At the end of these meetings, the AIBA President, Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu, made it clear that AIBA would cancel membership for those who did not participate in their Commission meeting for two consecutive times and emphasized that Commissions are to develop tangible recommendations for further enhancements of our sport and organizations.
