Following the AIBA Executive Committee Bureau's approval, further to the proposals made by the AIBA Technical & Rules, Coaches and Refereeing & Judging Commission members, we are very pleased to announce the recipients of the 2011 AIBA Awards.
- Best Elite Boxer of the Year: Magomedrasul Medzhidov (Azerbaijan)
- Best Junior Boxer of the Year: Asror Vohidov (Tajikistan)
- Best Coach of the Year: Dmytro Sosnovsky (Ukraine)
- Best Referee & Judge of the Year: Michael Gallagher (Ireland)
The 2011 AIBA Annual Awards Ceremony will be held on 27 November in London, Great Britain, after the Finals of the London Olympic Boxing Test Event.
