AIBA today unveiled the logo for the 2010 Congress, which will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on November 1-2.
In a letter to all AIBA National Federations, AIBA President Dr C. K. Wu explained the symbolism behind the logo: "The symbol 'gloves in gloves' (hands in hands) is meant to reinforce my ideas of unity among the boxing world and this through the five continents," he wrote.
The letter concluded "I sincerely hope that we will work together "gloves in gloves" for many more years in order to make of our beloved sport one of the leading sports in international sports and within the Olympic Movement."
