Twenty AIBA Executive Committee Members, Members of AIBA and Confederation R&J Commissions and Members of other AIBA Commissions took the oral and written exam at the First AIBA Technical Examination conducted in Baku, Azerbaijan's Serhedchi Olympic Sports Complex on May 1st, 2010.

The Technical Delegate examination was originally scheduled to take place on April 29th but due to the volcanic eruptions in Iceland disrupting most flights around Europe, it was postponed along with the rest of the AIBA Youth World Championships during which the exam took place.

The examination was designed for all members of the AIBA Executive Committee, AIBA and Confederation R&J Commissions as well as for members from other AIBA Commissions who wish to act as Technical Delegates in AIBA and Confederation events.

The exam was given in AIBA's official languages, English, French, Spanish and Russian, and consisted of 30 open questions plus an oral component based on the AIBA Technical & Competition Rules.

The persons who passed the exam will obtain official Technical Delegate certification and AIBA looks forward to having as many qualified AIBA members as possible to manage its events with the most enhanced skills possible.

This was the first of three examinations which are to be held this year, with the next one scheduled in Moscow during the European Championships in June and the last one for 2010 in Barbados during the Women's World Championships in September.
