New Team Addition to the YWCh | 13.04.2010 | AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu has decided to accept the late registration of the Czech Republic to participate in the Youth World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan later this month. Five boxers and three coaches will therefore be present from the Czech Republic.
Because the Czech Boxing Association recently elected a new president, Mr Svatopluk Zacek, Dr Wu's decision was made "for the best interests of the boxers and a better future for AIBA," he said.
Dr Wu has also invited the Association's president to join him in Baku to discuss the development of sport in the Czech Republic. "I would like to give him some encouragement to have a good start in managing the Czech Boxing Association," Dr Wu said.
