73 Countries Confirmed for Youth World Championships so far

As of 1800 hrs CET (Lausanne time) on 19th March, a total of 73 countries had registered their boxers for the 2010 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 23rd April until 1st May.


The list of countries who have submitted registrations is:


Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, China, Chinese Taipei, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lithuania, Mauritius, North Korea, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Wales.
Total: 44 countries


In addition, the following countries have been admitted to the "Road to Baku" training camp funded by the AIBA Grant Program, which will cover all travel and accommodation costs for these countries to attend a training camp in Baku as well as the AIBA World Championships:


Afghanistan, Albania, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Colombia, Dominica, Ethiopia, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands Antilles, Niger, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Vietnam, Zambia
Total: 29 countries


The final registration deadline is Saturday 20th March at midnight CET. AIBA reminds all National Federations that this is the final deadline and that any registrations received after this time will not be accepted.
