The fourth day of Federation visits to AIBA headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland began with AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu welcoming Estonian Boxing Federation President Mr. Vello Kade, followed by the respective Presidents of the Boxing Federations of Latvia, Belarus, Lithuania and Moldova.
President Wu had the pleasure of discussing individually with the federations, gaining a deeper insight into the issues facing the various federations. It was an informational meeting for both AIBA and the federations as current and future goals were share and discussed.
The meetings with the 20 federations will come to an end on Friday with President Wu welcoming Belgium, Malta, Morocco and Hungary. The AIBA members will have the opportunity to discuss federation issues with the AIBA President as well as giving AIBA the chance to provide an update on boxing's current and future activities.
Presentations from the AIBA head office include an update on the AIBA Boxing Academy, which will be launched in November 2010, the World Series of Boxing, licensing, the AIBA database (which will be launched at the AIBA World Championships Milan 2009) and AIBA's goals and objectives for 2010 onwards.
