Meetings at the AIBA headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland continued on Wednesday with President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu greeting the Presidents of the Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia and Slovakia Boxing Federations.
Dr. Wu met with the Slovenia Boxing Federation President Miran Stanovnik in the morning before he welcomed President Mladen Kruljac and Secretary General Melita Lochert from the Croatia Boxing Federation where the opportunity to discuss boxing issues was greatly appreciated.
President Vojo Nastevski of Macedonia and President Mikulas Vareha from Slovakia had the occasion to discuss AIBA's activities and goals for the future with President Wu as well as discussing the potential of the World Series of Boxing.
The meetings with 20 federations will continue throughout the week, giving the AIBA members the opportunity to discuss federation issues with the AIBA President as well as giving AIBA the chance to provide an update on boxing's current and future activities.
Presentations from the AIBA head office include an update on the AIBA Boxing Academy, which will be launched in November 2010, the World Series of Boxing, licensing, the AIBA database (which will be launched at the AIBA World Championships Milan 2009) and AIBA's goals and objectives for 2010 onwards.
