AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu has been given the honour of officially representing the IOC President, Jacques Rogge at the Opening Ceremonies of the 21st Summer Deaflympics, to be held on September 5, 2009 in Taiwan, Chinese Taipei.
The event will consist of a two day congress prior to the Opening Ceremonies on the 3rd and 4th of September.
President Rogge stated in his letter to Dr. Wu, "I would be honoured if you could officially represent the IOC on my behalf at this event."
President Wu has accepted the request with gratitude and looks forward to representing the IOC at the Summer Deaflympics. |
