AIBA World Junior Championships Yerevan 2009 logo unveiled | 17.03.2009 |  The official logo for the AIBA World Junior Championships 2009 has been unveiled as the countdown to boxing's premier event for boxers aged 15 and 16 begins in earnest.
With just over two months remaining before the opening of AIBA's youngest age-group competition in Armenia, the logo was launched at a town hall ceremony in the presence of Yerevan mayor Yervand Zakharyan.
The tournament will run from May 23-30 featuring boxers who are born between January 1st, 1993 and December 31st, 1994.
The previous AIBA tournament for 15 and 16-year-olds was held in 2007. Formally called the AIBA Cadet World Championships, the AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu labelled the event held in Baku, Azerbaijan as the "best Cadet World Championships ever staged."
