Out of consideration for its members, stakeholders, partners and the boxing community, the International Boxing Association (AIBA) has clarified its stance surrounding the Greenhill Corporation and its wish to be an AIBA licensee.
In a letter sent to Greenhill on Monday, AIBA explained that it can not accept Greenhill as an AIBA licensee due to a number of reasons stemming from its business history in the past. This decision was supported by the AIBA Executive Committee.
AIBA has therefore instructed the Greenhill organisation to refrain from referring to AIBA in a way suggesting there is an ongoing business relationship with AIBA and Greenhill and subsequently, any future use of the AIBA logo and licensing designation under any circumstances is strictly prohibited.
In this regard, AIBA informs all member federations who still stock Greenhill product to use it only for internal purposes.
