The AIBA American Boxing Confederation (AMBC) approved the new constitution in the Extraordinary General Assembly held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, January 31st.

The constitution was approved by unanimous decision and 14 countries attended the AMBC Extraordinary General Assembly.
 
The important meeting was chaired by the AMBC President Domingo Solano, assisted by the new AMBC General Secretary Luiz Boselli, host of the event.

Many relevant topics were touched by the delegates: from 2009 AMBC Program, to the announcement of Executive Committee Members and Commissions Chairmen.

The meeting, which took place at the Golden Tulip Park Plaza, marked a significant step forward for the world of boxing in the American Continent.

America comes right after Asia and Europe in approving the Confederation Constitution.
