
AIBA President's Cup Baku 2009

Boxers between the ages of 17 and 34 from around the world competed in the AIBA President's Cup in December 2009 with eight Continental teams, from America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania, facing each other at the Serhedchi Olympic Sport Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The competition included the 11 Elite Men Weight Categories: 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg, +91kg.

The Championships were held according to the AIBA Technical and Competition Rules and followed the new AIBA R&J system. Three star level referees and judges were evaluated during the competition. Gold medal winners from each weight category received $3,000 and the winning Confederation was awarded $50,000.
