Following the first development assistance provided by the new AIBA in 2007 and 2008, the AIBA Goodwill Fund Program was renamed the AIBA Grant Program to provide continuous development assistance to National Member Federations.
The purpose of this program is not to provide financial assistance to Federations but to support the programs presented by Federations which are directly beneficial to boxers and other members of the boxing family for the further enhancement of boxing programs in each country.
This Grant Program is managed by the AIBA HQ Development Department through the Foundation for Better Boxing, which is a tax-exempt foundation registered in Switzerland.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- To support boxing developing countries in more efficient and effective ways.
- To build a grant program which will assist the development programs rather than the administrative aspects of Federations.
- To generate more funds by receiving donations and financial contributions from various sectors in society through fundraising programs.
