AIBA World Championships Milan 2009


AIBA’s premier event is in full swing in the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy as 554 boxers from a record-breaking 133 countries participate with the aim of world championship glory.

Included in the near record-breaking number of boxers (The AIBA World Championships Chicago 2007 holds the record of 557 boxers) are boxers  from 22 under privilaged countries who had the opportunity to participate in the AIBA World Championships for the first time thanks to the inaugural AIBA Road to Milan Training Camp in Assisi, Italy, held in the lead up to the AIBA World Championships Milan 2009.
