Brazil and Dominican Republica are the countries which qualified more boxers to the Olympic Games in the second and last American Qualifier, just finished in Guatemala. They lead the list thanks to four qualified boxers each, ahead of Colombia (3), Puerto Rico and Argentina, both with two athletes. Here below the complete grid.

A total of 137 boxers from 27 countries confirmed their participation at the 2nd American Olympic Qualifiying Tournament, which will take place in Guatemala City between the 25th and the 30th of April. Jorge Guzmàn, President of the American Confederation, informed that Nicaragua will have the most number of boxers, with 10 athletes. Brazil and Colombia will follow Nicaragua, both with nine boxers, then Puerto Rico and and the host country Guatemala, with eight boxers each. The 64kg weight category will be the most crowded, with 20 boxers competing. Here below the complele list of participating boxers:

| Twenty-three Olympic places are on offer in Guatemala. This tournament will complete the ranks of American boxers taking part to the Olympic Games in Beijing next August. The American continent can already count 37 boxers with an Olympic ticket already booked, 14 of them coming from the 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championships Chicago 2007, and the remaining 23 from the Olympic Qualifier in Trinidad & Tobago last March.
