One of the youngest boxers who will be competing in Doha, Ghossoun has only recently turned 19, but has already impressed in his senior career after winning bronze at the ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships. Based in Damascus, the Syrian reached the third round of the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships, and will be competing in his first elite World Championships. His brothers Sumar, Mohammad, Alaaldin and Ali also all box.
